About the Challenge

As a Site Reliability Engineer for SWIFT, you’ll be responsible for managing the more complex problems that arise in the company related to our network health and performance. You’ll:

  • Perform and control day-to-day administrative activities, such as data collection and analysis, diagnostics, error logs, monitoring and maintaining bandwidth and link utilization
  • Assist during the troubleshooting of complex problems and investigate a permanent resolution
  • Support your Customer Support colleagues, participate in the review of issues and identify opportunities for improvement on processes, tools and procedures
  • Implement configuration changes and new installations
  • With great power must come great responsibility: you need to be willing to work week-ends and public holidays (daytime only).

Your skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT (HBO level)
  • A first work experience as a Junior Network and System Engineer is preferable
  • Good knowledge of UNIX/LINUX and analytics software (Elastic, Kibana) is a must
  • Knowledge of Cisco/Juniper Routers & Switches, Fortinet firewalls and F5/BIGIP is a plus
  • You value a multicultural environment, have a good team spirit, are eager to learn new things and have good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Since you’ll be working for a multinational company where English is the working language, excellent spoken and written English skills are a must
