Dear Exellyst,

First of all we’d like to wish you a spectacular 2021! The stakes are high given what we’ve all been through in 2020 but we’re excited to welcome you all back at our bar as soon as we’re allowed to do so. Although they say assumption is the mother of all fuckups, we do assume that this will be possible sometime in 2021.

But before we kickstart the new year, we’d like to shortly look back at the last 12 months. Given everything 2020 threw at us, we still had a very successful year as a company and this wouldn’t have been possible without all of you. That’s why we made this short recap.

So, thank you all for your admirable work and resilience these last months.

Mental capital in times of Covid-19

As communicated in our new years message, the whole COVID situation made us realise how important well-being is and that’s why this will be one of our main focus points of 2021.

First initiative on the agenda is a webinar on Blue Monday (Monday January 18th) about Mental Capital by Elke Geraerts, CEO of Better Minds at Work and Human Capital Expert.

She will share her insights on the most important components of mental resilience and how investing in your brain can lead to higher productivity, energy and happiness. Something you definitely don't want to miss!

If it's not on Strava, it didn't happen...

Move 4 Charity

As we've announced in December, for a full month we'll be donating €1 to charity for every kilometer you walk, run, cycle, swim, etc. during working hours. All you have to do is track your activity with Strava and join the Exellys club.

This challenge still has a few days left to go and you can still join our Strava club (just like 38 Exellysts did before you). Your activities will retroactively be added to the club so you don't have any excuses not to join. So far we've raised €1.274!

Btw, we're looking into charities to donate to, so if you have any ideas, you can share them with us in this Typeform... We'll be organising a poll later on using these suggestions.

New clients in the making

Sales update

The sales team has expanded the Exellys customer portfolio with a new client: BD myShopi. BD myShopi is the number 1 omnichannel activation platform in Belgium, offering more than 50 years of experience in logistics as well as offline and online consumer activation.

We also tested out a new matching format: How can a customer meet as much potential candidates as possible in the shortest possible time? By speed dating of course! The recruitment and sales team organized for the first time a speed date for Belfius Bank in which we coupled 8 candidates to 3 managers. It was a huge success as 5 of our Exellysts were invited for a 2nd interview.

Prospects: Allianz, CM, De Lijn, The Beacon, AXS Guard, Xplore Group Cronos, APG (NL), MUFG (NL), Euroclear, etc.

Just like candidates, we also have a referral policy when it comes to business development, so don't hesitate to get us in touch with interesting prospects if you can!

In the internal team

A new year comes with new beginnings! We are very happy that we can welcome some new Exellysts to the internal team as well.

First of all, some beautiful baby news. On January 2nd Laure Busschot has given birth to a beautiful baby girl named Lucie. Mother and daughter are doing well. We wish Laure all the best with this new chapter in her life! She will be back at work as of April 19th.

Bonne Van der Laan started as a Tech Talent Scout for Exellys NL on January 4th. He will work closely together with Penny Van Puymbroeck to launch Exellys in the Netherlands.

Also on the Belgian side our recruitment team will get some reinforcements. Trang Tuyet Huynh will join the Belgian recruitment team as a Tech Talent Scout as of February and Marijke Vandromme will start as a Recruitment Manager as of January 11th.

It's time to give something back

You can make a difference

The recent pandemic has forced all of us to evolve. We embraced working from home, found new ways to connect with loved ones and going for a walk suddenly became the most exciting activity of the weekend.

But also schools had to adapt to this new normal. That’s why we believe now is the perfect time to jump in. This is a call to action for all of you to contact your previous schools (high school and/or elementary school) and ask if there’s anything you can do to help.
