About the Challenge

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a major part in helping Exellys grow to the next level. You will have an active role in generating highly qualified leads, identifying and qualifying new market opportunities and creating context to bring opportunities to fruition. You will get the opportunity to excel and collaborate strategically with our cross functional teams. According to the commercial strategy and growth plan, you will identify, research and target the right companies.


You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), qualify prospects and manage your client meetings and have the potential to eventually lead your Territory branch. By selling our innovative and unique Talent Incubation Solutions, you will directly communicate, interact and challenge prospects of fast-growing companies, build a network of C-level executives and discover the challenges they face. You maintain and take care of existing clients and show them we care by being proactive, responsive, creative and cooperative. You are based in our offices (Mechelen or Brussels) with minimum 1 to 2 days of working at Exellys HQ in Mechelen.

Your skills

  • You hold a master’s degree or equivalent by experience
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets through a consultative selling and solution-oriented approach, preferably within the Technology consulting and/or staffing industry (IT, Science, Engineering)
  • As a commercial hunter and closer, you are passionate for providing excellent services and solutions to prospects and clients
  • You have a strong network in the Belgian market in at least one of the following target industry segments: Pharmaceutical-Biotech, Chemistry, Utilities, Telecom, FMCG, Production Industry, Banking and Insurance companies
  • You are a strong team player with tons of energy, humour, empathy and enthusiasm with the mind-set and ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
  • You are punctual, stress-resistant, autonomous and critical thinking with a sharp focus on the growth and success of the company
  • You have strong networking, presentation and communication skills and able to propose and close deals at C-level
  • You are preferably bilingual (Dutch and French) or native Dutch or native French, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
